Le Stabbielle has thick stone walls, shuttered casement windows with screens, and tile floors. Most of the rooms have ceilings with exposed wooden beams. The house has a modern electrical service (220 volts, many outlets) and modern plumbing with a reliable clean water supply from its own well. The house features 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a 10 meter in-ground swimming pool. The house is stocked with bedding, towels, cutlery, dishes and cooking utensils. For those that do not speak Italian, it may be a comfort to know that our local property manager, Giuseppe Dini, lives in Anghiari and speaks English.

The ground floor has a small bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom, and a dining room that opens onto a pergola-shaded west facing stone patio. In nice weather, we prefer to eat on the patio. The dining room also has a wet bar, a stove, and a small refrigerator.

On the first floor we have the main living room, a large kitchen, and a modern bathroom. The living room has a large fireplace and comfortable furniture. The kitchen is connected by a stairway to the dining room below. The first floor bathroom has all conveniences including shower, bath, bidet, etc. Also located in the bathroom is an automatic washing machine.

On the second floor, the house has two large bedrooms, each with a king-size bed. There is also a bathroom and a sitting room with a large fireplace

On the third floor, there is a fourth bedroom with twin beds.

Our chief rental period runs from April until the end of October. The remainder of the year is often pleasant, but in winter the temperature may sink below freezing. There is no central heat, but the fireplaces provide warmth for any cool periods in spring and fall.
